Introduction

I am officially an old guy. A gray beard. However, a friend once told me that I was just a big kid. To resolve this conflict, and to insure continued employment, I am going to train myself in web technologies. This is somewhat ironic, as I like to think that I presented one of the first classes in designing a web page, back in February of 1994. My training has been in language implementation, so I am going to take a language-oriented approach. My plan is to take a simple problem domain, design a model for it, and then use language tools to generate skeleton implementations using as many different technologies as possible. Hopefully fellow gray beards and old crones will find value in this approach.
